Mentoring
Are you interested in improving the life of a child? Are
you a good friend? Are you looking for something that could be life changing for you, as well as
others?
You may be just right.
What is a
Mentor?
In just an hour a week, a Mentor shares valuable experiences,
models a caring way of dealing with others and empowers a student to be a secure and self-confident
individual. The Mentor works under the supervision of the F.A.C.T. Community
Coordinator.
Do You Have What It
Takes?
There are some defining qualifications we look for in our
Mentors. You should enjoy working with children and have patience to encourage behavior changes and establish
trust. Mentors should be flexible and be able to communicate effectively. Mentors should have an open mind,
and above all, have an open heart!
If these characteristics describe you, and you have a
passion to help the youth of our area succeed, please call or email us:
F.A.C.T. 573-221-2285 or email us at mentoring@mcfact.org
